Meet our team of Educators:

Jay Wijnmaalen, DPT, MBA, MTC, CEAS

Dr. Wijnmaalen graduated from the University Of Nijmegen with a BSPT degree in 1995. Since his graduation he has worked in several healthcare settings including Homehealth, Acute care inpatient, Outpatient and Rehabiliation.

His focus has always been on clinical excellence and he became certified in NDT in 1999 and passed his Certification for Manual Therapy at the Unversity of St. Augustine in 2000.

He then received his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy also from the University of St. Augustine. In addition to these clinical degrees, Dr. Wijnmaalen also has an MBA in Healthcare Administration .

Dr. Wijnmaalen teaches the New Technologies course, the Introduction to Manual Therapy course, The Imaging Course, The Comprehensive Management of Back and Neck pain and The Setting Specific Orthopedic Exercise Course

John Van Ooyen, PT

John van Ooyen graduated from the University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands with a BSPT degree in 1994. 

After working as a Physical Therapist in outpatient settings in the Netherlands, he moved to the United States where he worked in home health and acute care inpatient and outpatient as clinician between 1995 and 1999. Back in the Netherlands he owned his own private practice untill 2008. From 2008 onward Mr. Van Ooyen has been working in two private practices with focus on Manual Therapy.
Mr Van Ooyen obtained his Manual Therapy Certification ( Maitland Concept ) from the University of Utrecht in 2005. Continuing education involved MDT A-D (formerly known as McKenzie principle) and the Mulligan concept.

Mr. Van Ooyen teaches the New Technologies Affecting Post-op Rehab, The Introduction to Manual Therapy and the Setting Specific Orthopedic Exercise Course

Dr. Nathan Possert, PT, DPT

Dr. Nathan A. Possert is a 1998 graduate of East Lake H.S. in Tarpon Springs where he was an accomplished wrestler. After high school he served in the U.S. Navy honorably for 4 years in which he was quarter master and a search and rescue swimmer.

After serving in the Navy, he attended St. Petersburg College in Tarpon Springs Florida where he earned an Associate's degree in Arts, graduating with honors in 2004. After graduating, he transferred to the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa Florida where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Athletic training and graduated with honors in 2006. While attending graduate school he was able to work with high school athletes part time in Pinellas County, FL as an Athletic Trainer for two years.

Since graduating with his Doctorate he has worked in the outpatient facility setting full time and the hospital setting part time.
